A delegation from Al-Zahraa University for Women, headed by Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the University President, attended the Iraq Education Exhibition and Conference. Additionally, the said event comes in support of Al-Zahraa University for Women’s objectives and its commitment to the importance of scientific engagement with academic institutions inside and outside Iraq.

The conference was held under the slogan “Education, Innovation and the Future” on Saturday, 16 September 2023, at the Baghdad International Fairgrounds.

The conference commenced with verses from the Holy Qur'an, followed by the national anthem. This was followed by a speech delivered by Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; a speech by Dr. Muzahim Al-Khayyat, Chair of the Parliamentary Higher Education Committee; a speech by Nicholas Davis, Representative of Times Higher Education in the Middle East and Africa; a speech by Salar Bazrakan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SB Group; and a speech by Mohammed Ahmed Zaki, Representative of Elsevier in the Middle East and Africa.

The exhibition held on the sidelines of the conference was opened at the conclusion of the event. Al-Zahraa University for Women participated in its activities, which included showcasing introductory videos about the University, its activities and laboratories, as well as displaying scientific and intellectual books.
