In a celebration of poetry and literary expression, the Arabic Language Department at the Faculty of Education, under the auspices of the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, held a literary dialogue featuring the renowned poet Yahya Al-Samawi.

The session, held on Tuesday, 17 October 2023, at Umm Abiha Hall, was presented by Prof. Dr. Khudair Darwish, an experienced Arabic Language Professor at Al-Zahraa University for Women.

The said event opened with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a presentation of the poet’s biography by Prof. Dr. Khudair Darwish. The programme featured a critical reading of selected poems by Dr. Darwish, a reading of selected works by the poet himself, and questions and contributions from academic staff and female students.

The session concluded with the Arabic Language Department honouring Yahya Al-Samawi with a commemorative shield and certificate of appreciation.
