To advance the educational and academic environment, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, received a delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran, headed by Dr. Javad Mohammadi, President of the National Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology and President of Islamic Azad University in Tehran, accompanied by members of the delegation.
During the meeting, the two institutions agreed to establish scientific and academic cooperation. The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Al-Sultani on behalf of Al-Zahraa University, and by Dr. Mohammadi on behalf of the National Institute.
The two sides also affirmed their commitment to cooperation in the field of publishing scientific research in genetic engineering, as well as joint academic supervision, and the organisation of conferences, workshops, and seminars. They further agreed to facilitate mutual visits with the aim of supporting and strengthening the educational process between the University and the Institute.
The delegation then undertook an introductory tour of the University’s facilities and laboratories, as well as Al-Zahraa Centre for Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences Research, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Zuhair Mohammed Ali Al-Asadi, Vice President for Scientific Affairs. During the tour, the visiting delegation was briefed on the scientific expertise and infrastructure available at the University, including internationally equipped laboratories and advanced scientific facilities dedicated to serving female students and researchers.
