The Faculty of Economics at the University of Tehran hosted the Iraqi delegation. The said event comes as part and parcel of an official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran by a delegation representing the University Education Authority, the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa, and Al-Zahraa University for Women.

The delegation included Prof. Dr. Haider Al-Tamimi, President of the University Education Authority; Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, President of the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa; and Prof. Dr. Zuhair Mohammed Ali, Vice President for Scientific Affairs at ZUW. Additionally, the delegation met with the Dean of the Faculty to learn about its academic and scientific capabilities, as well as the departments and programmes it offers.

During the meeting, discussions focused on mechanisms for strengthening scientific and academic cooperation, exchanging expertise between the two institutions, and exploring key research activities related to academic curricula, training, and professional development.

As part of the visit, the delegation also toured the main research centre at the University of Tehran and met with its Director, Dr. Ali Asadi, together with members of the administrative and academic staff. The said visit aimed to gain insight into the centre’s activities and explore opportunities for future cooperation between the two sides. The delegation further visited several industrial companies affiliated with the research centre and was briefed on their principal activities, particularly joint projects undertaken with the centre in the production of various industrial materials.
