On the sidelines of an official visit by a delegation from Al-Zahraa University for Women to the Holy city of Mashhad, and as part and parcel of the Faculty’s efforts to explore international expertise and experiences in scientific research, discussions were held between representatives of the two institutions regarding prospects for academic and research cooperation.

Representing ZUW were Prof. Dr. Zuhair Mohammed Ali, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Lect. Dr. Dia' Rahim Al-Tamimi, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics and Laboratory Sciences. They met with Prof. Dr. Marjan Razavi, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, to discuss mechanisms for laboratory development and equipment, the establishment of specialised joint research teams between the two Faculties, and support for the Animal House Project.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to incorporate the outcomes of the visit into the existing framework of cooperation between the two Universities through the establishment of a joint cooperation annex, reflecting their shared commitment to strengthening academic and research collaboration.

It is noteworthy that the Faculty of Pharmacy at ZUW is one of the University’s specialised Faculties and aims to meet the needs of the medical sector by preparing qualified female professionals in pharmacy and various laboratory sciences.
