The Faculty of Health and Medical Technologies organised a developmental scientific workshop on strategic planning and thinking. The said event was held at Umm Abiha Hall in the University's main building and was attended by Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, the University President, the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, deans, lecturers, administrative staff, and female students. Additionally, this workshop comes as part and parcel of the activities supported by the administration of Al-Zahraa University for Women.
The workshop was delivered by Dr. Hassan Hadi Al-Qazzaz, Dean of the Faculty of Health and Medical Technologies at the University, as stated on the official University website: "Strategic planning and thinking is an intellectual, planning-oriented pathway that anticipates events. It stems from a comprehensive vision to shape the future, as it constitutes long-term planning that focuses on all variables within both the internal and external environments."
He further added: "The purpose of organising this workshop is to formulate strategic plans defined by the University to attain long-term objectives and achieve them in the future. Besides, it holds great significance for administrative, leadership, and teaching staff to gather robust ideas, present them synthetically, and consequently strive to develop and modernise the University in accordance with academic needs."
He continued: "During the workshop, we addressed complex thinking methods required to achieve successful outcomes with a stable vision, alongside how to define objectives and think unconventionally, meaning to 'think outside the box'. It is worth mentioning that this workshop is considered a core part of human development rather than a mere practical process, as it cultivates and sharpens ideas to chart future steps and desired objectives."
