Karbala Governor Honors Al-Sultani for Efforts during Iraqi-Iranian Science Week As part of the activities conducted on the second day of the Iraqi-Iranian Science Week, the Governor of Karbala, Eng. Nassif Al-Khattabi, honored Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, President of Al-Zahraa University with the Shield of Excellence. The award was presented by Dr. Mohsen Al-Kanani, member of the Higher Education Committee in the Provincial Council, in recognition of her cooperation and efforts to crown that prominent scientific event with success. In her remarks, Dr. Al-Sultani expressed her determination to continue the allotment of all resources and capabilities to bolster the educational process in Iraq and ultimately further societal development in various critical fields. She also added that future contributions would substantially bear more promising opportunities and potential. The second day also featured an exhibition held at the Faculty of Education for Pure Sciences / University of Karbala. The exhibition showcased a wide range of patents by postgraduate students and university tutors, consequently reflecting Iraq's commitment to talent promotion and advancement to the ranks of developed nations. The Iraqi-Iranian Science Week is considered the most significant event aimed at strengthening collaboration between Iraqi and Iranian universities, creating opportunities for academic and cultural exchange, and contributing to scientific progress and sustainable development in both countries. It highlighted the crucial importance of such events as a move towards enhancing scientific and cultural bonds between Iraq and Iran, as well as opening new horizons for future cooperation.
