New Achievement for Al-Zahraa University at University Poetry Festival
Under the aegis of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority, through its Student Activities Department organized University Poetry Festival at the University of Kufa in the governorate of Najaf. The event witnessed a large turnout with the participation of numerous Iraqi universities. Al-Zahraa University for Women took part in the festival with a delegation led by Dr. Aida Abboud Hussein, Director of the Student Activities Department, alongside several female students from various academic departments. Moreover, the festival took place under the supervision of a Ministerial Committee specializing in literature, poetry and culture. The Committee evaluated the recited poems based on literary and artistic criteria. The event which garnered wide participation from 51 public and private universities across Iraq, represented a significant opportunity to discover students’ poetic talents and promote cultural exchange among universities. Additionally, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, was honored at the event, Asst. Prof. Dr. Maali Hashem Abu Al-Maali, Secretary of the University Council, received the award on her behalf. It is important to observe that the participation of Al-Zahraa University for Women in the above-mentioned festival reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to supporting cultural and literary activities while encouraging students to develop their talents and abilities across various fields.
