Al-Hajj Hassan Rasheed Al-Abayji, the Secretary-General of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, nominated a delegation from Al-Zahraa University for Women to attend the central ceremony of religious obligation (Taklif) in its eighth edition. The said event was organised by Al-Abbas Holy Shrine in a formal, educational atmosphere, and was attended by a distinguished group of academic and religious figures.

The ceremony was organised by the Women’s Hussaini Public Speaking Division affiliated with the Office of the Legal Custodian of Al-Abbas Holy Shrine in cooperation with the Directorate of Education of Karbala Governorate. Additionally, it was held within the framework of the “Fatimid Roses” project under the slogan: “From the path of Al-Zahraa is my hijab, and in Zainab is my exemplar.” It is worth noting that more than 6,000 schoolgirls from various districts and sub-districts of the governorate participated in the said event.

The activities were hosted at Abu Al-Fadl Al-Abbas Complex and featured an integrated religious and educational programme. This included guidance and awareness segments aimed at consolidating religious and moral concepts among girls who have reached the age of religious responsibility, and at drawing inspiration from the noble values embodied in the lives of the Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them). The programme also included the organisation and coordination of commemorative group photographs for the participating pupils.

The University’s participation in this ceremony reflects its commitment to its academic and humanitarian mission, as well as its support for religious, educational, and community-based initiatives designed to foster awareness and cultural development among young women. Besides, such engagement contributes to strengthening Islamic identity, preparing a conscious generation firmly rooted in its religious and moral principles, and enhancing cooperation between universities and educational institutions.
