The ninth cultural season of Al-Arbaeen’s visit commenced at Sayyed Al-Awsiya City, organised by the Qabas Foundation for Culture and Development in cooperation with the Holy Shrines. Additionally, His Eminence Sheikh Tareq Al-Baghdadi, the Foundation’s General Supervisor, inaugurated the event with rousing spirits and affirming the sanctity of this blessed march and its role in reviving the pledge of Imam Al-Hussein’s (PBUH) principles and values.
The ceremony was attended by a slew of academic and cultural distinguished figures, including Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, alongside the senior staff members at the University, scholars, intellectuals, and volunteer groups.
In her speech, Prof. Al-Sultani clarified that the cultural season represents a unique and significant manifestation of Al-Hussainiya’s service, one that warrants careful attention as a social responsibility embodying humanitarian messages and noble values.
She further affirmed that Imam Hussein’s (PBUH) cause is a shared responsibility requiring a deep understanding of his eternal revolution and its call for justice and reform. Besides, she stressed the significance of commemorating the rituals and organising awareness programs that strengthen these values and pass them on to future generations.
Concluding her address, Prof. Al-Sultani emphesised the need to preserve the sanctity of Al-Arbaeen pilgrimage and to highlight its lofty meanings in ways and means that serve societal reform and elevate humanitarian values. It bears noting that she affirmed that this participation forms part of the University’s mission to uphold and promote the cultural and spiritual values associated with Al- Arbaeen visit.
