Al-Zahraa University for Women received a ministerial delegation from the Directorate of University Education / Department of Establishment. The delegation conducted a field visit to the new building designated for the faculty of Engineering and Information Technology and the faculty of Health and Medical Technologies to assess the availability of the material and human resources required to operate the facilities as fully integrated educational institutions. Additionally, the said event comes as part and parcel of the University’s strategic plans for academic expansion and its efforts to meet the requirements of the labour market.

The ministerial delegation comprised:

* Asst. Prof. Dr. Hadeel Ali Abd Al-Hussein
* Asst. Lect. Enas Ali Abd Al-Muttalib

Furthermore, the ministerial committee was received by:

* Prof. Dr. Zuhair Mohammed Ali Jaddoa, the Vice President for Scientific Affairs
* Asst. Prof. Dr. Hassan Al-Qazzaz, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs
* Prof. Dr. Ghaida' Abd Al-Hussein Al-Mulla, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology
* Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Husseini
* Prof. Osama Badr Al-Janabi, the Director of the Department of Media and Government Communication

During the field visit, the delegation inspected classrooms, scientific laboratories, and service and administrative facilities, while conducting a comprehensive assessment of the available resources in accordance with the standards approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in order to verify the readiness of the new faculty. The University’s plans for establishing new academic departments were also presented, including:

* Department of Digital Engineering and Design
* Department of Laser Technologies

The visit forms part of a series of official procedures carried out by the Department of Establishment within the Directorate of University Education, affirming the Ministry’s commitment to monitoring the requirements of higher education quality and establishing a robust academic environment capable of meeting the needs of female students. It also reinforces the University’s position as an academic institution committed to establishing contemporary and specialised academic departments that contribute to supporting development plans and responding to changes in the labour market.
