Al-Zahraa University for Women, headed by Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, along with the esteemed faculty members, had the honor of welcoming His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbala’i, the religious custodian of the affairs of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein and representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, in an official visit that reflected the deep and ongoing relationship between the religious authority and academic institutions. His Eminence reaffirmed the Holy Shrine’s commitment to supporting the educational and moral development process in Iraq.

In his address, Al-Sheikh Al-Karbala’i expressed his appreciation for the dedicated efforts of the university, praising its academic excellence and scientific achievements. He emphasized that such accomplishments reflect the vision of the Holy Shrine in establishing distinguished educational institutions that combine academic knowledge with purposeful moral education, contributing to the preparation of qualified and ethical professionals capable of advancing both state institutions and the academic community.

During his visit, His Eminence met with several faculty and administrative staff members, listening to their perspectives and suggestions on enhancing the educational process. He stressed the importance of nurturing a sense of belonging, responsibility, and teamwork to elevate the standards of academic and educational performance.

For her part, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani expressed her profound gratitude for the continuous support provided by the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain, highlighting its impact in achieving remarkable milestones both locally and internationally. She noted that the university’s success in joining global academic rankings, becoming a member of the Association of Arab Universities, and the College of Pharmacy’s first-place achievement in the national ministerial evaluation exams for two consecutive years, all reflect the institution’s unwavering commitment to building an innovative academic environment that fosters scientific research and creativity.

This visit reaffirms the enduring support of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain for the scientific mission of Al-Zahraa University for Women. It underscores the university’s standing as a prestigious academic institution that unites scholarly excellence with professional integrity, and continues its mission of empowering and educating conscious, knowledgeable women who actively contribute to the betterment of society.
