The University welcomed a distinguished delegation from IMI, during which both parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening academic and research collaboration. The agreement seeks to establish joint training programs and specialized workshops designed to enhance medical and academic competencies.
This partnership comes as part of the ongoing preparations for the upcoming International Medical Conference organized by IMI, to be held in the holy city of Karbala in December. During the meeting, both sides discussed the conference’s scientific sessions and research agenda, which are expected to gather an elite group of physicians and scholars from Iraq and abroad to explore the latest developments in medical science and research innovation.
Al-Zahraa University for Women affirmed that this collaboration aligns with its strategic objectives of academic and institutional development, reflecting its continuous efforts to empower and qualify female professionals who contribute effectively to the advancement of society and the healthcare sector, both locally and regionally.
For their part, the IMI delegation expressed their deep appreciation for the academic and professional standards upheld by Al-Zahraa University for Women, commending the University’s spirit of cooperation and openness. They also affirmed their keenness to sustain this partnership and expand the horizons of future joint work.
At the conclusion of the visit, the University’s Presidency emphasized that the signing of this MoU represents a significant milestone in Al-Zahraa University’s journey toward strengthening international academic collaboration, attracting global expertise, and enriching the educational environment in line with contemporary developments. This step also reinforces the University’s commitment to opening postgraduate programs for its graduates, in accordance with the latest academic advancements in its medical colleges and departments.
