In line with its efforts to strengthen academic cooperation and exchange expertise between universities, the Central Library at Al-Zahraa University for Women welcomed a delegation from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Mustansiriyah University, which included Asst. Prof. Dr. Athmar Thahir Habeeb, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, and Ms. Maysaa Mahdi Kareem, Head Librarian of the Faculty of Pharmacy.

From Al-Zahraa University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Alaa Abd Al-Hussein, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs at the Faculty of Pharmacy, also took part in the visit.

The visit aimed to review the facilities of the Central Library, explore the available academic resources and references, and examine the adopted cataloging systems. These efforts seek to enhance the capabilities of academic and library staff in organizing and facilitating access to scientific information. The meeting also served to foster cooperation frameworks between the two universities, supporting the educational process and contributing to the development of the students’ and faculty members’ knowledge base.

During the visit, the delegation emphasized the importance of such academic exchanges in sharing library and administrative expertise and in benefiting from advanced practices in organizing and managing scientific resources. They also commended the Central Library’s stimulating learning environment and its integrated services that promote scientific research and support the educational process.

Through organizing such scientific visits, Al-Zahraa University for Women seeks to strengthen academic networking and knowledge exchange, thereby contributing to the advancement of education and research according to the latest international standards in library and information science.

These initiatives reflect the University’s commitment to fostering scientific cooperation with academic institutions and building strategic partnerships that elevate the standards of education and research at both the national and international levels.
