Lecturer Asst. Lect. Tabarak Abdulrazzaq Shaghati Al-Kanan published a research entitled “Evaluation of the cytotoxic effect of Fe3O4@Glu-Gingerol on lung adenocarcinoma cell line (A549) with biological mechanism” in (Heliyon) Journal which is classified in the (first) quarter of the Scopus and Clarivate container. The research included “The use of nanotechnology products with super magnetic properties to deliver drugs in a targeted manner with great interest recently due to the anticancer properties of gingerol, the main phenolic compound of ginger. This study aimed to prepare Fe3O4@Glucose-Gingerol nanoparticles NPs and investigate their anti-cancer potential in lung adenocarcinoma cell line. . The physical and chemical properties of the nanoparticles were studied using FT-IR, XRD zeta potential, DLS, EDS, mapping, VSM, and electron microscopy imaging. Cell lines were examined A549 “lung adenocarcinoma” and MRC-5 (normal) cell lines by MTT assay. This study revealed that Fe3O4@Glu-Gingerol NPs have anti proliferative effects on lung adenocarcinoma cell line line by activating intrinsic and extrinsic apoptosis which is a promising feature in cancer therapy.
