The Faculty of Health and Medical Technologies, Department of Anaesthesia Techniques, organised an awareness workshop on the adverse effects of mobile phone usage. The session was attended by a slew of faculty members, teaching assistants, and female students from the department. Additionally, the said workshop comes within the framework of the awareness workshops initiated by the Presidency of Al-Zahraa University for Women to broaden guidance opportunities for female students.
The workshop was convened to identify the hazards resulting from the excessive use of mobile phones and smart devices. The session was delivered by Asst. Lect. Anwar Ahmed Fadhl, a faculty member at the University, outlined the types of harm caused by misuse, their underlying causes, and methods of prevention and remediation. Furthermore, she addressed the specific health and social complications arising from over-reliance on these devices.
