The study focuses on the development of an adsorbent material derived from walnut shells to remove malachite green dye from industrial wastewater. Malachite green is a hazardous dye commonly used in the textile industry.
The research findings revealed that the walnut shell-based adsorbent exhibited high adsorption efficiency, with results closely in conformity with the Langmuir isotherm model. Additionally, kinetic and thermodynamic analyses confirmed that the adsorption process is spontaneous and endothermic, further validating the potential for treating dye-contaminated industrial water.
