In order to support scientific collaboration between Al-Zahraa University for Women and its counterpart universities in Iraq, the English Language Department in Al-Zahraa University for Women visited the English Language Departments in Al-Kufa, Al-Iraqia and Baghdad Universities on Wednesday 21/12/2022. The delegation was represented by Dr. Mustafa Abd Al-Sahib and Dr. Dhaif Allah Zamil. This visit aims to hold a debate and a joint scientific competition organized by Al-Zahraa University in collaboration with the departments of those faculties, as well as, in enhancing scientific and academic collaboration between the English Language Department in Al-Zahraa University for Women and other counterpart departments in Iraq, to improve the scientific aspect among the female students and instill a spirit of fair competition among them, most of the departments welcomed the idea and expressed their willingness to participate. It is worth mentioning that there was a previous visit to the Faculty of Education Ibn Rushd and Arts at the University of Baghdad by Ms. Nibras Hamid and Amani Abd Al-Kadhum to discuss the same topic.

Department of Special Education Holds Scientific Workshop on Modern Strategies for Addressing Speech Disorders Under the patronage of the President of Al-Zahraa University (PBUH) for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Prof. Dr. Iman Samir Bahiyya, the Department of Special Education at the College of Education, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a scientific workshop entitled “Modern Strategies for Dealing with Speech Disorders.” The workshop was attended by a number of faculty members and specialists in the field. The workshop was delivered by Dr. Ya‘mur Rahim Hussein, General Supervisor of Al-Kafeel Institute for Speech and Language Disorders, which is affiliated with the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine. The lecture addressed the latest scientific and practical approaches to diagnosing speech and language disorders and methods of dealing with them, along with presenting training models and therapeutic mechanisms that contribute to developing the skills of specialists and practitioners in this area. The workshop aimed to enhance scientific awareness of speech disorders and to equip educational staff with modern strategies that support students and improve their ability to communicate effectively. It also sought to strengthen cooperation between academic institutions and specialized centers in ways that serve the educational and rehabilitative process.
