As part of an intensive training program developed by the Mathematics Department within the College of Education, in collaboration with the Continuing Educational center, aimed at reinforcing key scientific concepts within the approved curriculum, the Mathematics Department launched an interactive workshop with a number of students and faculty members entitled “Image Segmentation through Solving a Partial Differential Equation.”
The workshop was delivered by Dr. Karar Kadhim Abbas and included an important explanatory and practical presentation on image segmentation. The scientific seminar also highlighted how mathematics can be applied to address a wide range of challenges in other fields, including the use of modern programming techniques and computer applications.
