The Mathematics Department at Al-Zahraa University for Women, headed by Prof. Dr. Iman Bahiya, the Dean of Education Faculty, held a joint meeting with Al-Khwarizmi Association for Mathematics to discuss the preparations for an upcoming scientific conference.
Additionally, Dr. Nouri Farhan Al-Miyahi, the President of the Association, Dr. Hassan Rashid, Head of Publications at the Association, and Dr. Riyadh Delfi from the Mathematics Department at Karbala University attended the meeting.
The discussions centered on organising a joint conference between the Department of Mathematics and the Al-Khwarizmi Association, with committees drawn from across Iraq and participants from inside and outside the country. Furthermore, the conference, scheduled to take place on 26–27 April, will cover both pure and applied mathematics. It was also agreed that publication in a Scopus-indexed journal will be made free of charge, to support faculty members in their academic promotion and assist postgraduate researchers in publishing their theses and dissertations.
It is noteworthy that this meeting reflects the value of joint efforts with the diverse scientific departments of Al-Zahraa University for Women, complementing a series of meetings with directors of different scientific associations, all aimed at advancing in the specialised scientific field.
