Under the auspicious of the respected President of Al-Zahraa University for Women,
and the supervision of the esteemed Dean of the College of Education,
the College of Education / Department of Arabic Language, in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education, organized a course entitled:
“Contemporary Issues Regarding the Holy Qur’an – Al-Qubbanji’s Arguments as a Model”
The course began on Sunday, April 14, 2024, and lasted for three days in Al-Kawthar Hall.
The lectures were delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussein Abd Al-Amir Al-Nasrawi, who addressed the main objections raised by Al-Qubbanji against the Islamic theory of revelation, which included rational, chain-of-transmission, and content-based critiques. He also presented detailed responses to those objections.
Additionally, he examined Al-Qubbanji’s alternative hypothesis for interpreting revelation, countering it with a set of criticisms and refutations.
