Under the auspicious of the esteemed President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, and with the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education and the Head of the Department of Arabic Language, the Department of Arabic Language organized a poetry seminar with the distinguished poet Sheikh Mustafa Al-Nasrawi.
The seminar, entitled “Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them) in the Poetry of Mustafa Al-Nasrawi,” was held on Monday, April 29, 2024, in the “Umm Abiha” Hall.
The event was moderated by Lecturer Firas Al-Asadi.
In his talk, the guest poet emphasized the vital role of poetry in conveying authentic principles and values, as well as its importance as a tool for promoting virtue within society. He highlighted that one of poetry’s noble functions is honoring figures who embody and reflect these values and virtues, such as the Infallibles (peace be upon them).
In this context, Sheikh Al-Nasrawi presented his three major poetic works in praise of Ahl Al-Bayt (peace be upon them):
The Alawi Love Alfiat
The Husayni Love Alfiat
The Fatimi Love Alfiat
He recited selected verses from each of these works.
The seminar was attended by a number of faculty members from the Department of Arabic Language, along with a large audience of students.
