The College of Education at Al-Zahraa (PBUH) University for Women hosted an experimental scientific and cultural debate between the Department of Mathematics at the college and the Department of Mathematics at the College of Education for Pure Sciences, University of Karbala. The event took place in Um Abiha Hall and was attended by a distinguished academic audience of faculty members and students from both universities.
The debate was held under the title “Artificial Intelligence Kills Creativity,” addressing one of the most prominent contemporary issues occupying academic and scientific circles. Participants were divided into two teams: one supporting the idea and the other opposing it, with each side presenting its arguments and perspectives in a constructive academic dialogue that promoted critical thinking and enriched intellectual discussion.
The event was attended by the Dean of the College of Education at Al-Zahraa (PBUH) University for Women, Professor Dr. Iman Sameer Bahia, who emphasized the importance of such academic activities in developing students’ dialogue skills, refining their personalities, and enhancing their ability to analyze and reason logically about contemporary issues.
This activity comes as part of the college’s ongoing efforts to promote a culture of scientific dialogue, academic openness, and inter-university cooperation, contributing to the preparation of an aware generation capable of keeping pace with the challenges and transformations of the modern era.
