Under the auspices of the President of Zahraa University, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the University marked a notable scientific representation at the 5th International Conference on Electrical Machines and Electric-Drive Systems (ICEMD 2025).

Prof. Dr. Ali Ja’far Al-Husseini, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department at Al-Zahraa University for Women, took part with a distinguished academic presence, having been selected by the Scientific Committee as Chair of the specialized session on “Wireless Power Transfer for Electric Vehicles,” in recognition of his research expertise and scholarly contributions in this vital field.

The conference witnessed the acceptance and publication of two scientific papers by Prof. Dr. Al-Husseini in the area of electrical machines and their industrial applications. Both papers were completed in collaboration with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), one of the world’s leading institutions supporting scientific publishing and innovation in electrical and electronic engineering.

Dr. Al-Husseini also chaired a research session that discussed several advanced papers in electrical machine technology and energy systems, held within the conference hosted by Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST). The University maintains a joint academic cooperation agreement with IUST that continues to strengthen research partnerships and exchange of expertise.

This participation aligns with the University’s ongoing efforts to activate academic cooperation agreements, expand engagement with leading international institutions, and support faculty mobility and visiting scholars,reflecting positively on the research environment and postgraduate studies at the University.

Zahraa University  affirmed that this achievement represents an important step within its strategy to enhance its global academic presence, encourage its faculty to participate in international scientific conferences, and publish research in reputable institutions, further consolidating its standing as a dynamic academic institution in the fields of innovation and engineering development.
