College of Engineering and Information Technology Launches Digital Architecture and Smart Programming Week
Under the patronage of the President of Al-Zahraa (PBUH) University for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Ghaida Al-Mulla, and in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, the Departments of Architecture Engineering and Artificial Intelligence Engineering organized a specialized training course titled:
“Digital Architecture + Building Programming: Concepts and Applications.”
The course was held at Al-Siddiqah Hall within the College of Engineering and Information Technology and will continue for five consecutive days as part of a full academic week.
The first lecture was delivered by Lecturer Mayson Safi Yasser, Course Coordinator of the Department of Architecture Engineering, focusing on the intellectual development of digital architecture, which represents a fundamental shift in architectural thinking due to its vast design capabilities and its status as one of the most important modern architectural trends. The lecture also addressed the history of digital architecture, the evolution of its tools and methodologies, enriching students’ engineering knowledge and aligning with global trends toward digital modeling.
The first day was attended by several academic and administrative staff members, as well as students from various departments.
The course aims to enhance students’ professional awareness and support the shift toward digital transformation in engineering fields by empowering them with the concepts and technologies of digital architecture and building-related programming for smart environments.
