The College of Engineering takes its first steps toward program accreditation and maps the roadmap to global recognition

Under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Professor Dr. Ghaidaa Al-Mulla, the College organized its first workshop on program accreditation at the Dean’s office, as part of a strategic plan aimed at enhancing academic quality and meeting the requirements of the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The workshop reviewed the methodological steps for obtaining national program accreditation, considered the essential step toward achieving international accreditation and opening channels with reputable international universities. During the workshop, the roadmap to be adopted by the College in the upcoming phase was outlined to ensure the implementation of quality requirements according to approved frameworks.

The Dean emphasized that this meeting serves as a proactive step to prepare the essential requirements for rigorous scientific work, ensuring that all departments are ready to move forward toward program accreditation and to elevate the College’s academic and research standards.

The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Raghad Ahmed Hussein, Quality Assurance Officer at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, with the participation of: Assistant Professor Dr. Hiba Jabbar Al-Akabi, Head of the Artificial Intelligence Engineering Department and Acting Head of the Architecture Engineering Department; Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Yahya Al-Khuzaei, Head of the Communications and Mobile Computing Engineering Department; Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Jassim Al-Khafaji, Head of the Cybersecurity Engineering Department; and Ms. Maryam Muslim Hameed Hussein, Program Accreditation Coordinator at the College of Engineering.

The College of Engineering and Information Technology affirms its commitment to continuing the implementation of its development plans, enhancing the position of Al-Zahraa University for Women among reputable academic institutions.
