The results of the 2026 edition of the SCImago Institutions Rankings have revealed the inclusion of Al-Zahraa University for Women among the academic institutions featured in this global ranking, reflecting the growing momentum of the University’s scientific and research activities.
The University was placed in the third quartile (Q3) of the ranking, which is based on a set of key indicators, most notably research performance, innovation, and societal impact. Additionally, these indicators rely on data derived from the global Scopus database.
The SCImago ranking is regarded as one of the recognised international systems for evaluating academic and research institutions. Besides, it provides performance indicators that enable universities to monitor their research productivity and strengthen their scientific presence at both the national and international levels.
