The Second Karbala Scholars Conference witnessed the participation of Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Husseini, the Director of the Scientific Affairs Department at ZUW, who presented a specialised study entitled “Revenue Maximisation in the Holy City of Karbala: A Legal–Economic Analysis and an Estimation Model for Reducing Administrative Electricity Losses.”
The study focused on improving the efficiency of revenue collection through the adoption of digital transformation, drawing on data from 2024. This was achieved through the implementation of smart metering systems and electronic billing, alongside the effective management of losses and the enhancement of the electricity distribution network infrastructure.
It bears noting that ongoing efforts to employ and implement such solutions across several key sectors reflect the University’s commitment to strengthening its active role and contributing to the development of public services within the community.
