Under the patronage of the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Ghaidaa Al-Mulla, and in collaboration with the Continuing Education Center, the College organized a specialized scientific course titled “Artificial Intelligence and Soft Skills,” held over five days. The course was delivered by the Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiba Jabar Al-Aqabi, and lecturer Mr. Hussam Muzher Merdas, with the participation of a group of faculty members and students.
The course addressed the concept of contemporary artificial intelligence and its most prominent applications in daily life, with a particular focus on its growing role in education and scientific research. The lecturers presented the latest tools and applications that contribute to enhancing academic performance and knowledge production, as well as explaining how these technologies can be effectively integrated across various disciplines.
The course also highlighted the importance of soft skills as the human dimension that cannot be fully replicated by artificial intelligence, such as emotional intelligence, effective communication, and teamwork. It emphasized the necessity of achieving a balance between technological advancement and human values in order to prepare competent graduates capable of adapting to the challenges of the modern era.
