In its pursuit to enhance community health security, ZUW engaged with a delegation from Warith Foundation for Public Health, headed by Dr. Tahseen Al-Attar, during an official visit aimed at consolidating collaborative ties and exploring avenues for integration between academic and healthcare institutions.

The meeting addressed several key topics, foremost among them the critical issue of cancer and the urgent need to intensify both societal and institutional efforts to combat it. Additionally, discussions emphasised the importance of raising health awareness, implementing educational programmes, and fostering a culture of prevention and early detection, thereby contributing to the reduction of its prevalence and mitigating its impact on society.

Furthermore, both parties deliberated on strategies to develop strategic partnerships that advance shared objectives in health awareness, the implementation of humanitarian initiatives, and joint programmes, guided by the humanitarian values inspired by the approach of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

This visit reflects the University’s commitment to broadening cooperation with relevant healthcare and service organisations, strengthening its role in community service, elevating health awareness, and addressing contemporary health challenges, in alignment with the University’s academic and humanitarian mission.
