Dean of the College of Pharmacy at Al-Zahraa University (PBUH) for Women Participates as a Member and Supervisor in a Master’s Thesis Defense at the University of Kufa
The Dean of the College of Pharmacy at Al-Zahraa University (PBUH) for Women participated as a member and supervisor in the examination committee for the Master’s thesis titled:
"Computational Study and Synthesis of New Acetazolamide Analogues Bearing a Thiazole Moiety with Promising Carbonic Anhydrase Inhibitory Activity," conducted at the College of Pharmacy, University of Kufa.
The defense was held for the student, Hussein Umran Abdul-Hussein. The thesis focused on designing new pharmaceutical compounds based on molecular modeling and computational studies. Furthermore, it involved the synthesis of new Acetazolamide analogues linked to a thiazole moiety and evaluating their effectiveness as potential inhibitors of the Carbonic Anhydrase enzyme, which is a significant pharmacological target for treating various diseases.
This participation comes within the framework of strengthening scientific cooperation between Iraqi universities and exchanging academic expertise to support the educational and research process.
