Al-Zahraa University for Women achieved first place in the final round of the ninth edition of the Intellectual Challenge competition. The said event was organised by the Resalat Al-Noor Humanitarian Foundation. Additionally, this event comes as part and parcel of the Foundation’s broader efforts to promote scientific and cultural engagement and to enhance intellectual competencies within the academic community.

 

The University hosted the final round of the competition, which brought together its team and a counterpart from the University of Kufa. Furthermore, the contest took place in a highly competitive academic atmosphere characterised by enthusiasm and precision. Besides, both teams demonstrated notable performance, reflecting their academic proficiency, rapid responsiveness, and extensive intellectual knowledge. Ultimately, Al-Zahraa University team secured first place after winning all stages of the competition, thereby affirming its consistent excellence from the initial rounds through to the final stage.

 

In her remarks, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the University President, expressed her pride in this achievement, emphasising that it reflects the University’s sustained academic support and its commitment to fostering female students’ scientific capabilities while refining their intellectual and cognitive skills. She further noted that this accomplishment aligns with the University’s strategic vision of preparing a distinguished academic generation capable of competing effectively and contributing meaningfully to scientific advancement and societal development.

 

For his part, Mr Abd Al-Fattah Al-Mousawi, President of the Resalat Al-Noor Humanitarian Foundation, expressed his admiration for the high level of knowledge demonstrated by the participating teams. He further commended the outstanding performance witnessed in the final round, noting that such events represent an ideal platform for identifying promising academic talents and guiding them towards excellence and innovation.
