The Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Ghaidaa Al-Mulla, received a delegation from the Iraqi Information Technology and Communications Association, headed by Dr. Eng. Ali Nasser Al-Khuwaylidi, with the participation of the Association’s Secretary, Dr. Yasser Al-Jawhar, and the Director of the Association’s Office in Karbala, Dr. Eng. Ali Abbas Al-Sabbagh. The visit was coordinated by the Science and Technology Parks Department and attended by its Head, Assist. Prof. Ahmed Yahya Al-Khuzaie.
The meeting discussed prospects for academic and technical cooperation between the two sides, as well as the possibility of signing a joint Memorandum of Understanding aimed at supporting higher education and strengthening its alignment with labor market requirements, with a focus on developing the practical skills of female students in the fields of information and communications technology.
The Dean emphasized the importance of such qualitative partnerships in enhancing the educational environment. Both parties agreed to organize specialized workshops and joint training programs, in addition to establishing implementation mechanisms for future initiatives that contribute to preparing national competencies capable of supporting the technology sector with high-level skills.
