Under the patronage of the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, Professor Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Al-Khafaji, the Department of Physiotherapy Technologies at the College organized a scientific workshop titled “Lower Limb Amputation Rehabilitation.” The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Marjan Hassan Mohammed.

The session addressed the latest therapeutic approaches aimed at helping patients regain maximum mobility and independence following lower limb amputation. It provided a comprehensive overview of physiotherapy programs focused on muscle strengthening, balance improvement, and effective training in the use of prosthetic limbs. The workshop also highlighted the importance of psychological support in helping patients adapt to physical and lifestyle changes.

Furthermore, the workshop emphasized the critical role of a multidisciplinary medical team—including physicians, physiotherapists, and prosthetics specialists—in achieving optimal rehabilitation outcomes. The ultimate goal is to enhance patients’ quality of life and enable them to return to their daily activities with confidence and independence
