Scientific Workshop at the College of Health and Medical Technologies Discusses Common Errors in X-Ray Measurements

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, Professor Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Al-Khafaji, the Department of Radiology and Sonography Technologies organized a scientific workshop titled “Common Errors in X-Ray Measurements,” delivered by Teaching Assistant Muntadhar Hashim Jaber.

The workshop addressed the most common errors that radiology technicians may encounter during measurement procedures, including issues related to patient positioning as well as device settings such as kilovoltage peak (kVp) and milliampere-seconds (mAs).

The session highlighted the importance of precision in radiological practice, while presenting modern solutions and practical recommendations to reduce these errors and improve the quality of diagnostic results. The workshop specifically targeted students of the Department of Radiology and Sonography Technologies, providing them with valuable practical experience to strengthen their professional skills.

The workshop also witnessed remarkable engagement from students, with numerous questions and applied discussions that contributed to reinforcing scientific concepts and enhancing their readiness for fieldwork with greater confidence and competence.
