The Department of Radiology and Sonography Technologies at the College of Health and Medical Technologies at Al-Zahraa University for Women organized a scientific workshop titled “Safety and Security in Medical Laboratories,” delivered by Teaching Assistant Gaith Jassim Mohammed, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance awareness of safe practices within the laboratory environment.

The workshop addressed the key standards of occupational safety that must be followed in medical laboratories, with a focus on the proper handling of equipment and materials, prevention of potential hazards, and the importance of establishing a strong culture of adherence to preventive procedures to ensure a safe working environment for both students and staff.

This workshop is part of a series of scientific activities through which the College aims to develop students’ practical skills and improve their applied competencies in line with the requirements of modern healthcare institutions.
