The Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Ghaydaa Al-Mulla, participated alongside the academic and administrative staff and students of the college in the closing ceremony of the “Thousand Giving Week” activities, organized by Al-Zahraa University for Women under the patronage of the General Secretariat of the Holy Hussaini Shrine, and under the supervision of the University President, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, in cooperation with the Warith Foundation, under the slogan: “From One Thousand to Humanity… A Childhood That Wins and Smiles.”

This participation came as a culmination of the college’s role throughout the days of the initiative, which included awareness campaigns inside lecture halls, visual presentations introducing the campaign, coordination of donation efforts through dedicated forms, and the organization of a charity bazaar, all contributing to supporting the most vulnerable groups, particularly sick children.

The ceremony included a speech by the Deputy Head of the Warith Public Health Foundation, Dr. Ali Hamid Al-Sheikh Radi, who praised the fruitful cooperation between the university and the Warith Foundation, commending the prominent role of the university, including the College of Engineering, its staff, and students, in supporting humanitarian initiatives, emphasizing that these efforts contribute to strengthening a culture of giving and preparing a generation with an active humanitarian role in society.

For her part, the Dean affirmed that the college’s participation in the “Thousand Giving Week” stems from its belief in the importance of integrating the academic dimension with the humanitarian role, noting that the students’ volunteer initiatives reflect a true awareness of social responsibility and a commitment to transforming knowledge into impactful action that serves humanity.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Dean, along with the college staff and students, was honored in recognition of their distinguished efforts in the success of the “Thousand Giving Week” and their initiatives that reflected the spirit of giving and social responsibility.

This recognition highlights the College of Engineering and Information Technology’s commitment to its academic and humanitarian role, and its continuous pursuit of promoting a culture of volunteer work and transforming student initiatives into tangible impact that serves society.
