A delegation from Al-Zahraa University for Women, led by the University President Prof. Dr Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, accompanied by the senior staff and deans of faculties and scientific departments, paid an official visit to the Governor of Holy Karbala, Dr Nassif Jassim Al-Khattabi. The visit falls within the framework of strengthening ties of cooperation and joint coordination between the university and the local government.

The meeting featured a review of the most prominent scientific and academic achievements attained by the university. Discussions also covered its strategic plans aimed at elevating the quality of higher education and enhancing its outcomes to align with the requirements and needs of the labour market.

Furthermore, both sides addressed methods to consolidate cooperation between the university and the local government, exploring guaranteed mechanisms to support educational and research programmes, and providing an appropriate environment for the continuous development of academic work, which reflects positively on the standard of educational services provided to students.

For his part, the Governor emphasized the importance of the role played by universities in preparing scientific professionals and qualifying promising talents. He praised the efforts exerted by ZUW in scientific and research fields, along with the academic presence it has achieved at both local and international levels.

In turn, the university delegation expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the local government for the attention and support it extends to the higher education sector, affirming the university's keenness to strengthen its institutional partnerships with various government entities to serve the scientific and educational journey.

This visit reflects the university's commitment to expanding cooperation and coordination horizons with government institutions, supporting the progress of higher education and reinforcing the university's academic and societal role, while continuously consolidating institutional partnerships.
