The Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Ghaidaa Al-Mulla, chaired the PhD dissertation defense committee for the dissertation entitled "Liquid Neural Networks for Adaptive Perception and Control in Autonomous Drone Navigation," submitted by PhD candidate Ali Obeid Hassan at the College of Information Technology, University of Babylon. The defense was attended by a distinguished group of academics and researchers.

The dissertation explored the application of advanced artificial intelligence techniques, particularly Liquid Neural Networks (LNNs), in developing autonomous navigation systems for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The proposed approach aims to enhance perception, decision-making, and adaptability in dynamic environments while maintaining computational efficiency suitable for embedded platforms, in line with the latest global trends in autonomous aerial systems.

The Dean's role in chairing the defense reflects her active academic engagement and ongoing contributions to supporting high-quality research and strengthening collaboration among Iraqi universities. Such efforts contribute to promoting a culture of scientific research and fostering innovation in the fields of artificial intelligence and advanced engineering technologies.
