The College of Pharmacy at Al-Zahraa University for Women continues to conduct its summer training workshops at the Educational Pharmacy as part of its programs aimed at developing students’ practical skills and enhancing their readiness for professional pharmacy practice.
These workshops complement the practical training undertaken by students in community pharmacies, reinforcing the skills acquired during field training through the simulation of real-life pharmacy scenarios. The workshops are designed to enhance students’ competencies in dispensing medications and communicating effectively with patients, thereby improving their professional capabilities and preparing them to work efficiently in various pharmacy settings.
The workshops included practical training on handling medical prescriptions, assessing students’ ability to dispense medications accurately, and providing patients with clear instructions regarding dosages, methods of administration, and appropriate medication counseling. Conducted under the supervision of the College’s qualified pharmacists, the training also aims to strengthen students’ professional communication skills and prepare them to manage real-world situations effectively.
These workshops are part of a series of training programs regularly organized by the College of Pharmacy to prepare competent pharmacists equipped with both scientific knowledge and practical expertise, in line with labor market requirements and the College’s commitment to enhancing the quality of pharmaceutical education outcomes.
