College of Engineering and Information Technology Hosts the Second Day Sessions of the Fifth International Al-Aqsa Call Conference
The College of Engineering and Information Technology hosted the activities of the second day of the fifth edition of the “Fifth International Al-Aqsa Call Conference,” held under the theme: “The Hussaini Revolution and the Palestinian Narrative: Building the Narrative in Confrontation with Misinformation.” The event was attended by the University President, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, and the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Ghaidaa Al-Mulla, alongside a number of university officials and academic and administrative staff.
The second day featured a series of dialogue and discussion sessions with the participation of a distinguished group of international and Arab figures and religious scholars. The sessions addressed the Palestinian cause from intellectual, cultural, media, and religious perspectives, highlighting the importance of building a narrative based on truth and documentation in confronting attempts to spread misinformation and distort facts.
The activities included a dialogue session with the participation of international figures, focusing on the presence of the Palestinian cause in international discourse and the challenges of conveying the Palestinian narrative to global public opinion. Another session, featuring Arab figures, discussed the responsibility of cultural, academic, and media institutions in raising awareness of the Palestinian cause and preserving historical memory.
The sessions also addressed several topics related to the role of media and digital platforms in reporting and documenting events, the importance of harnessing scientific, intellectual, and cultural capabilities to counter misinformation, as well as the role of scholars and thinkers in fostering awareness of just humanitarian causes.
The second-day activities were attended by the University President, along with a number of university officials and academic and administrative staff from the College of Engineering and Information Technology, reaffirming the university’s role in hosting intellectual and dialogue-based events and providing spaces for engagement and the exchange of perspectives on humanitarian issues.
The College of Engineering and Information Technology’s hosting of the second day of the conference comes as part of the participation of Al-Zahraa University for Women (AS) in the activities of the Fifth International Al-Aqsa Call Conference, reflecting its academic and cultural role in supporting dialogues that contribute to building awareness, strengthening the presence of the Palestinian cause, and drawing inspiration from the values of the Hussaini Revolution in supporting truth and confronting misinformation.
