Formal English Translation ### In the Hands of Future Female Engineers: The Iraqi Flag Flies Over the University Campus, Heralding the Start of a New Academic Year

The Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Prof. Dr. Ghaidaa Abdul-Hussein Al-Mulla, along with the teaching and administrative staff, participated in the Iraqi flag-raising ceremony organized by the university to mark the commencement of the new academic year 2026–2027. The college’s female students took part in raising the flag, in a scene that reflected their pride in national identity and their welcoming of the new academic year.

The ceremony was attended by the University President, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, senior university officials, and a number of faculty members, employees, and students. The ceremony coincided with the beginning of the academic year and the resumption of academic and scientific activities across the university’s various colleges and departments.

The Dean emphasized that the participation of female engineering students in the ceremony contributes to strengthening their presence in university and national events and reinforcing the values of responsibility and belonging alongside their academic and specialized pursuits. She also highlighted the college’s readiness to welcome the new academic year and provide a supportive academic environment for learning, training, and practical engineering application.
