Khadija Jawad: The First Student to Attend the University Council Meeting as an Ambassador for Al-Nukhba Engineering Company

In a notable student participation, Khadija Jawad Abdul-Kadhim, a fourth-year student in the Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering at the College of Engineering and Information Technology, participated in a meeting of the University Council in her capacity as an ambassador for Al-Nukhba Engineering Company at the university, becoming the first female student to attend a University Council meeting in this capacity.

Khadija participated as a representative of the female students enrolled in the KNX program, sharing their firsthand experience in the specialized training program on smart systems and building automation. The training provided practical knowledge that strengthens the connection between engineering disciplines and the needs of the labor market, while giving students a direct voice in an academic and professional dialogue at a high level.

The student’s participation came as part of the reception hosted by the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women (Peace Be Upon Her), Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, for a delegation from Al-Nukhba Engineering Company, in the presence of senior university officials. The meeting addressed prospects for joint cooperation in smart systems and building automation, as well as a proposal to establish a specialized training and research center for KNX technologies. Discussions also covered training, consultancy, and engineering competency development, with the aim of strengthening the practical dimension of engineering disciplines and opening new avenues for cooperation between the university and the engineering and technology sectors.
