In a new step aimed at strengthening engineering education and expanding access to modern disciplines, the College of Engineering and Information Technology at Al-Zahraa University (Peace Be Upon Her) has received official approval to launch evening study programs for the 2026–2027 academic year in four engineering specializations, with the same student intake capacity approved for the morning programs.
The approval was granted following the endorsement of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research on 27 September 2026, based on the minutes of the Council of Private Higher Education, Supplement to the 14th electronic session held on 25 September 2026. The approval covers the following specializations:
- Artificial Intelligence Engineering
- Cybersecurity Engineering
- Communications and Mobile Computing Engineering
- Architecture Engineering
The introduction of evening study programs in these disciplines represents an important step toward expanding the academic opportunities available to students, in line with labor market demands and the rapid advancements in engineering and technology, particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, communications, digital technologies, and architecture.
The approval also emphasizes the necessity of providing the required human and physical resources for the advanced stages of study, ensuring an appropriate academic and educational environment that supports the continuity of the programs and fulfills their academic requirements.
