Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Technology, Prof. Ghaida Abdul Hussein Al-Mulla, and Head of the Department of Communications and Mobile Computing Engineering, Assist. Prof. Ahmed Yahya Awad, participated as part of the university delegation led by the President of the University, Prof. Zainab Al-Sultani, in the third Iraq Education Conference, held under the theme 'From Education to Development: Global Partnerships and Universities Shaping the Future', attended by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Haider Baha Al-Hussani, along with several academic leaders, experts, and specialists. The conference focused on universities moving towards the fourth generation of higher education, which goes beyond traditional learning and skill development to empower students in innovation and entrepreneurship, turning their knowledge and skills into projects and initiatives capable of creating new job opportunities, enhancing the university's role in economic development and building a knowledge-based economy.

In this context, the College of Engineering and Information Technology is taking practical steps to establish this direction by developing educational pathways, benefiting from the Bologna process and advisory boards, and enhancing the alignment of specialisations with labour market needs. It also supports female students in developing their innovative skills, honing their career visions, and encouraging them to start their own projects and turn their ideas into promising productive opportunities. The college's participation in this conference aligns with Al-Zahra University's approach to advancing higher education for women, emphasising the importance of preparing graduates who possess knowledge, skills and an entrepreneurial spirit, capable of creating their own career opportunities and contributing to sustainable development.
