The celebration, entitled “Women: The Cornerstone of Education and the Guarantee of Future Generations”, was organised by the Media and Public Relations Department to mark the anniversary of the University’s establishment.
The said event was under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine and the supervision of the President of Al-Zahraa University for Women. 

The event included a variety of activities and programmes, beginning with the Iraqi National Anthem and the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an. This was followed by an address delivered by Prof. Al-Hajj Hassan Rashid Al-Abayechi, Secretary-General of the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, and a speech by Prof. Dr. Zainab Abd Al-Hussein Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, the University President.

The programme also featured an introductory video about the University, including statistics on the number of administrative staff, students and academic staff, as well as a report highlighting outstanding female students who achieved top academic rankings.

This was followed by a survey segment entitled “Why Did You Choose Al-Zahraa University for Women?”

The celebration concluded with the recognition of administrative and academic staff members and an invitation to attend the opening of the female students’ book and handicrafts exhibition held in the University arcade.
