Al-Zahra University (peace be upon her) for women concludes the activities of the first international academic forum for the elimination of violence against women. Under the slogan: (Heavenly legislation honors you and Iraqi law protects you), the Women’s Empowerment Unit at Al-Zahra University (peace be upon her) for women, in cooperation with the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the University of Karbala, concluded the first international academic forum for the elimination of violence against women, in the Presidency Hall of the University of Karbala. Mrs. Heba Salem Jawad, head of the Women’s Empowerment Unit at Al-Zahra University (peace be upon her) for women, stated: “The opening of the forum was launched at the beginning of the last week in Umm Abiha Hall located at Al-Zahra University (peace be upon her) for women. She added that: “The closing activities included a speech by the President of the University of Karbala, a documentary film about the achievements of the University of Karbala, and a number of research papers presented by (Dr. Fouad from Anbar University) entitled Violence on the Basis of Gender, and a research (Dr. Margaret from Fanken University) entitled Violence. On the basis of gender, and finally a research (by Dr. Farah Al-Fadhiliya from Al-Zahra University (peace be upon her) for women entitled, “Women in the Blogs of Scholars / A Study in the Light of Cultural Criticism.”
