A group of female students from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Zahraa University for Women visited the Warith International Foundation for Oncology and Cancer Treatment. The said event comes in an initiative aimed at bringing joy to children’s hearts and putting smiles on their faces.
The visit was organised under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ghufran Mohammed Hussein, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Asst. Lect. Rusel Mahdi Al-Hilu, Rapporteur of the Department of Pharmacology, Toxicology and Clinical Pharmacy, and Lect. Dr. Ahlam Adnan.
The delegation toured the children’s wards, where young patients receiving treatment for cancer were visited. The female students distributed gifts and offered psychological and moral support to the children in an effort to uplift their spirits. During the visit, the medical staff provided a comprehensive explanation of the treatment methods employed at the Foundation and the approaches adopted in caring for paediatric cancer patients.
It is significant to point out that this initiative forms part of Al-Zahraa University for Women’s ongoing commitment to supporting humanitarian and community engagement activities. The University extends its sincere wishes for a speedy recovery to all patients and expresses its appreciation to the medical staff for their continued dedication and service to the community.
