The Quality Assurance and University Performance Department at Al-Zahraa University for Women, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Department, held a workshop entitled “Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)”.  Additionally, the said workshop was held on Wednesday, 18 January 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in Al-Kawthar Hall of the Continuing Education Centre.

The workshop was delivered by the trainer Asst. Lect. Hawra' Kareem Mohammed, and Engineer Huda Zuhair Ali. Besides, it was attended by laboratory supervisors, laboratory personnel, and the Quality Assurance liaison members from the University’s three faculties: the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Health and Medical Techniques, and the Faculty of Education.

The workshop aimed to enhance the standards of teaching laboratories, increase confidence in testing and measurement results, strengthen the educational institution’s confidence in the quality of its educational outcomes, regulate non-conforming calibration and testing procedures through corrective and preventive actions, and promote continuous development and improvement.

It is worth mentioning that this workshop comes as part and parcel of Al-Zahraa University for Women’s objectives to organising workshops and training courses that enhance the knowledge of academic staff regarding the proper use of scientific equipment.
