With the overwhelming participation of more than (400) female students, the Quranic competition specially organized for students (Noor Al-Zahraa), by the Student Activities Department at the university, continues successfully
Based on the directives and guidance of His Eminence, the legal guardian of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine, Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbalai (may his honor last) the Quranic project was launched in public and private universities by Al-Zahra University ( Student Activities Department )entitled as “Noor Al-Zahra”, named after Sayyeda Fatima Zahra (Peace be upon her). The first launch of the project was the establishment of a special competition for female students, which is the (Memorizing Surah Yasin) competition, with the participation of female memorizers from different governorates, while the Quranic competition aimed to refine the students’ personalities and change their ideas, especially with the growing use of social networking sites. About 70 students participated in this stage. The competition was judged under the supervision of a specialized committee from the House of the Qur’an at the Hussainiya Holy Shrine. Its indeed a matter of pride that the total number of participants in the project surpassed (400) students.
